5-Day Descent of the River Spey by Canoe (dates on request)

Canoeing the River SpeyA 5-day River Spey canoe trip, paddling this majestic river from Aviemore to the sea at Spey Bay (around 60 miles or 100km).

This is one of the 'Big 4' rivers that is a must for the touring canoeist in Scotland, and which normally provides a fast current, great scenery and some 'interesting' rapids.

Although it is possible to paddle from Newtonmore to Spey Bay over 5 days depending on the fitness, age, size of the group, weather and the water levels, this journey will start in Kincraig, on the banks of the lovely Loch Insh.

If you lack experience of white water paddling but would love to give it a go why not join one of our guided canoe camping trips on the River Spey.  Throughout the expedition, coaching will be provided to help you develop your paddling skills, so by the end of the route, you will not only have enjoyed a unique canoe journey, you will also be a more competent canoeist. This adventure holiday is suitable as a family canoeing trip, if children are at least 15 years old and can swim.

"Can't recommend the trip highly enough. We will definitely use B+P again." (...and they have!)
